The St Joseph's Vocal Program offers a Year 4-6 choir (Senior Singers), a Year 1-3 choir (Junior Joeys), Liturgy/Mass Cantor practises and vocal coaching. Singing lesson enrolment forms can be found on the Parent Portal under Instrumental Enrolment.
All vocal groups are fully inclusive (no audition required) and require the students to have a willingness to learn part of singing and follow through a year-long commitment to their singing team.
Junior Joeys
Junior Joey practices begin Week 3, Term One. This ensemble aims to foster a love of singing through humorous songs, vocal warm-up games and movement. Performances occur at school/parish functions, aged care facilities and biennially competing in the Sunshine Coast Eisteddfod.
Senior Singers
This ensemble aims to develop a unified choral sound with some part singing. Songs vary from classical to rock. Senior Singers rehearse one hour a week and have opportunities to take on choir leader roles within the choir and Junior Joeys. Choir leader forms are available on the Parent Portal. Performances occur at school and parish functions, aged care facilities and biennially competing in the Sunshine Coast Eisteddfod.
Enrolment forms are available on the Parent Portal.
